The conference took place from 3-7 June 2019 in Helsinki, Finland. There were lots of great discussions between the Milky Way and nearby galaxy communities! Many thanks to everyone who participated!

The conference public outreach event at the Think Corner/Tiedkulma was highly successful! If you missed it, you can view it here. Bob Benjamin (University of Wisconsin-Whitewater), Naomi McClure-Griffiths (Australian National University), Alberto Bolatto (University of Maryland), and Satoki Matsushita (Academia Sinica Institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics ) gave fantastic talks followed by a great panel discussion.
The conference was even mentioned in the Washington Post in the context of CO2 monitoring during meetings and how to counteract it, thanks to participant Adam Ginsburg from NRAO. It was a nice challenge to keep the CO2 levels down!
